Cab franc 2017 – still young – at first it’s not a standout but after the second taste it’s better. Still mild. Not as much spice as we like.
Cab Sauvignon – love the nose. A little tart on the tongue. Very nice wine overall but we won’t buy any
2015 Dionysus- very nice. Rich. A little too heavy and sweet for both of us
Vintners Reserve – 2017 – very smooth, structured. Could use a year of aging. Bordeaux blend
2017 Zeus – very dark nose but (Riva) afelt it was much lighter in the palate. Smooth w a rich finish. I really liked it. Per Kelly, complex, a (good) tartness. In the tannat family
*note – Kelly really wants duck w this. Wants to find a dick, steal it, ring its neck and serve w a Demi glacé. Then he burped
9/6/20
All is still very good
I really like the 2017 NYX. Says blackberry, Cassis, rose petals, leather and clove. I was able to taste the clove and leather which Kelly really liked but then again he’s a pervert
*note, kelly just burped
Merlot was good. Red raspberry, tart cherry, aromas of smoke and vanilla. Not sure f I was able to capture that but it was still good
*note-kelly is watching the cows now
2017 vintners reserve was delicious with Spicy notes of tobacco clove cherry strawberry caramel sandalwood and vanilla with silk tannins
*note. Kelly thinks you can learn a lot from watching cows. I think he’s a little weird
