The Winery at Bull Run

2018 Merlot – not a heavy one at all. Very tasty, earthy notes. Little bite on the front end

2018 petit Verdot – I definitely got some blueberry on the nose. Kelly got plums. Very smooth. We like this. Dry.

2019 Antebellum – 100% Chambourcin, served chilled. Excellent summer drinking wine. Berry finish Kelly didn’t like it

2018 Norton – 80% Norton + 20% merlot – clove on the nose.**Note – I do have an issue w this winery. While I understand no outside food or beverage is allowed, they did check my purse (ok) where I had my water bottle. They made me dump it and then gave me a plastic water bottle in return. wtf? Guess saving the environment is not anywhere on their agenda

Cab Franc was good as were all the wines we tasted. There was something so commercial about this place that we both couldn’t work with. I do not think we’ll be back but wouldn’t encourage others to think like is. They definitely went above and beyond to accommodate us but at the same time, like I said, it was very commercial.

And we’re back on September 18th 2022
2019 – Cab franc. Still delicious but very different notes.
